HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

The president CANNOT "appoint" Ministers on his own - however you choose to employ the term. He can only NOMINATE ministerial candidates who are then EITHER confirmed or rejected (yes, the president's nominees can be, and have been, REJECTED by the Senate). It is only upon confirmation by the Senate and swearing-in thereafter that Ministers can be said to have been DULY "appointed".

Now my question is this, will the the president therefore subject himself for screening as petroleum minister by the senate? Will he appear as a minister-designate to answer questions or "take a Bow and Go"? or would the senate visit him in Aso Rock for screening? A tricky one for the Senate.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY
